Youth In Need is a leading non-profit child and family services agency, headquartered in St. Charles, Mo. Through a variety of crisis prevention and intervention programs, Youth In Need is dedicated to building positive futures for the community’s most vulnerable children, teens and families.

Each year, Youth In Need serves more than 10,000 children, teens and families with residential homes, foster care case management, homeless outreach, counseling and support groups, education and infant, child and family development at more than 25 sites, spanning 100-miles, in six counties in eastern Missouri.

Youth In Need was founded by community volunteers, who opened the organization’s Emergency Shelter in 1974.   Youth In Need’s reputation for excellence along with the incredible dedication and professionalism of its staff has led to the success and effectiveness of its programs.  The organization practices evidence-based programs, based on solid research and proven, effective approaches.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will manage all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for this $13 million organization, in conjunction with the, CEO, executive team,  Board of Directors and its committees.

    * Manage and oversee all aspects of the Finance Department, Facilities Management and Information Technology
    * Work with the Board and interact with key/important external stakeholders
    * Oversee the annual operating and capital budgeting processes and the annual audit
    * Develop and manage multi-year business planning and financial forecasting
    * Develop detailed business plans for entrepreneurial related business activity, joint ventures and other business innovations
    * Identify potential growth strategies and creative revenue generation opportunities

There are various other responsibilities which will be shared with qualified candidates upon meeting with Jennifer Benskin, President of SSP Search Solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

    *
      The CFO will be a sound leader with at least 10 years of broad finance experience, with a background in accounting and finance
    *
      MBA or Masters in Finance
    *
      CPA designation preferred
    *
      Must be a person with high integrity who also possesses a strong business acumen and understands, and believes in, the mission of Youth In Need
    *
      Non profit experience is highly desirable
    *
      Must have strong analytical skills with strategic agility
          o
            An effective communicator/leader at all levels in the organization, with strong verbal and written skills
    *
      A collaborative and innovative style with a focus on service to the community
