McClellan Question

Why do all these guys think they can cleanse their souls by pouring their concerns into "tell-all memoirs" written years after they ceased having meaningful input?

Scott McClellan had ample opportunity to staunch the flow of Bush administration lies while he worked in the White House.  Instead, he said nothing until writing a book that almost no one will read and which will make zero difference in outcomes.

He's already cast his lot.

Ample opportunity, indeed.

I hope even more of them come out of that zoo and tell us what really goes on.  Back in 2003, John DiIulio had some very interesting things to say about Rove and the White House, but for some reason, on the day the article came out, he said what amounted to, "never mind", didn't mean it, and apologized.     My guess is that if McClellan had spoken up, he would have had his head handed to him by Karl Rove. It seems that Karl Rove was, and probably still is someplace, a tyrannous bully and nobody crossed him. Call me crazy but, I plan to buy the book.

Blunt must be relieved...

That Spence Jackson can barely string three sentences together.
