And the award for worst fundraising direct mail piece ever goes to?

Speaker Pro Tem Rod Jetton would surely get the award for his SEVEN page letter on June 20, 2003 to Missouri physicians. As Winston Churchill once said, "this paper, by its very length, defends itself against the risk of being read." Jetton should get some credit for creativity though. On the first page, he managed to work in the word "socialists" twice.
