Kinder Blows Best Chance He'll Ever Have to Be GOP Governor Nominee

Yesterday, we wrote:

It remains to be seen if Kinder --who reportedly responded to these entreaties by strongly disparaging the ability of Kenny Hulshof to raise money and garner support statewide-- will stand steadfast in his position or meekly step aside when nudged toward the exit.

Now we know.  Kinder changed his mind after a couple Republican alpha males bullied him out of the race without his even putting up much of a fight.

But perhaps now Kinder can focus on a race that's far more important to him.  Instead of spending his time and energy on a gubernatorial race, he can devote himself fully to the race he's that always cared about most: a bicycle race.  The 2008 Tour de Missouri is just around the corner, after all.

Nudge?

I'm guessing Kit Bond sent over Det. Bud White and Lt. Ed Exley to Peter's room Thursday night, then Bud proceeded to dangle him over the balcony of the atrium at the University Plaza Hotel, ala L.A. Confidential. And, Goat Daddy, for future reference, sarcasm can be noted in your comments by bracketing them like this < >. I'm afraid some people might mistakenly take your last post seriously, otherwise.

Too Easy

Why take all the fun out of it?

Don't You Guys Read?

Don't you people read the newspapers? Lt. Gov. Kinder got out of the Governor's race because, although he thought he'd win the nomination and the election, he didn't want to cause a big problem by staying in the race and giving Jay Nixon a clear shot to the Governor's Mansion! Even GOP spokesperson Paul Sloca said it was the most unselfish political act of any politician at any level he had ever observed.

Why doesn't that make sense to you skeptics? Here's a man willing to serve as Governor, who puts his state and party above his own personal ambitions to ensure the right person is elected to the job, even though he was the right person, and all he gets in return in scorn.

From now on just listen to Paul Sloca and he will provide the perspective to remove your negativity. I guess we don't recognize true leadership anymore.

Jack Jackson says Kinder not a man of his word

Jackson is ticked!  Says he has to wonder if  being lieutenant governor is "just a paycheck" for Kinder.  Vows to stay in the primary.  It will be nice to have someone in the primary pointing out that Peter Kinder is just a career politician who cares not about principles.

Kinder has been put in his place

Apparently Jetton is not totally impotent. Jetton can still lead Kinder around by the nose.
