Join other Democrats next weekend when we gather together to distribute the Greene County Democrat on the ground.
When: Saturday May 14th @ 10:00am
And / Or
Sunday May 15th @ 2:00pm
Where: Meet at the Lakes Country Resource Center one block south of Chestnut Expressway; located on the corner of Scenic and College.
Who: Democrats from Greene County and beyond. Member representatives from many progressive organizations have already committed and will be volunteering together for this universal effort.
What: We will be breaking into teams. Some teams will target literature stands at grocery stores, box stores, gas stations, and other public venues. Some teams will be dropping the Greene County Democrat door-to-door.

I am SICK of lies from Candidtaes
I am SICK of candidates running around bad mouthing other candidates both in words and in print. If you can't run the race on the issues you shouldn't be running. What do you not have enough confidence in your own position that you have to run around lying about your opponents to make yourself look better?
When you resort to slandering other candidates, you should be ashamed of yourself.
ONE of Richard Napieralski''s lies: Richard, you keep running around saying verbally and in print that Dan Scott only claims to live in the district.
Well, YOU, Richard, have only lived here ten years and not even been gainfully employed all of those ten years.
Dan on the other hand was born, raised, educated and STILL lives, works and INVESTS in the 137th district.
YES, he not only DOES live in the district he opperates his businesses in the district. I sincerely hope you either stop lying about other candidates or that it causes you to lose votes by the mass!
I have decided, every lie you spread I will be there to counteract it with the truth.
How lucky you are that your opponent is not as underhanded as you are. Your opponent has too much honesty and dignity to run around spreading lies like you do.

Why has Dan Scott been representing City Council Zone 2 and is running for
office in the 137th Legislative District which encompasses City Council Zone
1?

currently represents City Council Zone 2 on the Springfield Missouri Public
Building Corporation Board. (Read the chart.) Not only does he represent
East Springfield, where his posh house is located, but he is the
Secretary/Treasurer of this City Chartered Non-Profit Corporation.
He is still currently a member and officer of this organization. It is a six
year term. His term expires on 9/1/2007. That means that for the last 5
years, at least, Dan Scott has been living at 3564 E. Cherry.
Go check it out. You will probably find his Lexus parked there with his
personalized "Dano" license plates on it. Next time you see him ask why he's
driving the 'family mini-van' around Northwest Springfield while his cool
car sits in his garage on the East side.
Living a lie is hard. Have to 'give up' privilege and pretend to be like us
is tough.

Everyone who lives in the 137th Legislative District, and was paying any
attention, knows he didn't have sign one in any yard. In all your

Truth and Issues
It's odd to me that you would spend so much time and energy defending Dan Scott, a Republican candidate, on a democrat website. I do run on the issues, healthcare, fair wages, education and to put people first.
I do think it wrong for the General Manager of City Utilities to engage in partisan politicting and will stand up and speak out about it. That Dan Scott would use you as his "attack dog" is the very thing you accuse me of, and of which I am not party to. If I've got something to say I'll say it myself.
Chris Fluharty's letter to the editor was his doing, not mine, and I can't say I've ever met jimjackson, either. (But thanks for sticking up for me, jim.)

Trying to decide who to support in 137th
That is a good point. I see no one has answered it. Wonder what that means?
Which of the candidates have good work histories? Which of the candidates are ethical and moral?

I'm sorry to see that you consider a candidates stand on abortion important. To me this is not a "voteable" issue. It has nothing to do with my government. Government should stay out of personal lives and personal choices.
