In March, Roy Blunt's campaign spokesman Rich Chrismer informed the world that they were “ready for false attacks from Fidel Castro because Roy is running to repeal and replace Castro’s beloved Carnahan-ObamaCare ‘miracle’ for America.” The statement sounds as stupid today as it did then.

In September, Fox News sued the Robin Carnahan campaign to stop the use of an interview Chris Wallace conducted with Roy Blunt a few years ago. Fox has no problem with Republican candidates – including Roy Blunt – using their footage, though. It's almost like they're a shamelessly partisan outfit.

Shortly after we posed questions about the striking similarities between The Dandy Warhols' "Bohemian Like You" and Ambassador Thomas Schweich's "Gimme Back My Freedom," Schweich denied any connection between the songs. But Fired Up! obtained documents from The Dandy Warhols showing that Schweich's statements to The Beacon were misleading - at best. An attorney for Schweich contacted the band in February, at which time he stated that Schweich's song "does play on a few themes from Bohemian Like You," and wrote that a "tentative title" for the song was "Conservative Like You."
