Quote of the Day

"I got an application in to drive a garbage truck, and I got turned down to sell appliances..I've got no reputation. I have no money. I've got nothing."

~ Former Speaker Rod Jetton, speaking with the Post-Dispatch's Tony Messenger about life after politics

His new safe word is "Whaaaa!"

Poor Rod...boo hoo. Well, I guess he can always apply for Medicaid & food stamps...as long as he promises to p** in a cup.

No Job for Jetton

While I'm not happy to see anyone out of work, if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. It would be interesting to know how many people Jetton had removed from jobs because they weren't supporters of his, or of a different political persuasion.

Job Opportunities for Jetton

I am actually feeling sorry for Rod Jetton.  While I loved to criticize him, he did a lot for Butler County.  I think that too many of his former so called friends have shown their true colors by abandoning him.

The people who previously boasted of their close personal relationship with him and how they knew him so well are now pretending that they barely knew him. Funny how without a conviction they have already turned on him and are pretending that they never really supported him.

I could continue criticizing those who once pretended to be Jetton’s closest advisers and friends but are now trashing him but I won’t at this time. I am surprised he cannot find work with either SemoTimes owned and operated by his former right hand man or working for Rick Carl Woolard’s campaign for the 154 house district.

But in political terms, he gets it.

"It's pretty simple to throw it all on old Jetton," said the former speaker. "There's nobody who's going to step up and defend me. I can't do anything for anybody anymore."

I am sure that the republicans will try to blame everything on Jetton and scapegoat him so that the voters will not notice that the republicans continue to be corrupt.
