GAME ON: Tiger Blood Tourney Bracket Unveiled
Loyal Readers, Faithful Haters and Egomaniacs finding your way here via that Google Alert you set up just to see if anyone would ever actually write about you --
The time has (almost) come for the First Ever Fired Up! Tiger Blood Tourney to begin. The bracket you see here is the product of very thoughtful and detailed submissions from many of you, and a somewhat less thoughtful culling process employed by our Selection Committee.
There's a lot of witty prose below the fold that you should really consume after reviewing the full bracket (no one expects any actual work to get done this week anyway), but rather than keep you waiting, here she is:

Voting on the Press Gallery Regional begins tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., followed by Open Mic Regional voting at 4 p.m. Check back right here for links.
Some of you will no doubt be crushed by the omission from our fake tournament, and this is understandable. Perhaps this will inspire you to blog a little less about kittens, talk to a few voters who actually live in your district, or be generally less boring before the next time we may or may not do this again.
Others of you will be ecstatic, and faced with a fairly limited set of options. Do you:
- Email and tweet your followers, asking them to cast a vote for you (or maybe just let them know about this cool #TigerBloodTourney you heard about with the assumption that they'll vote for you without a specific ask)?
- Figure out how to clear the cache on your multiple web browsers to vote a few dozen times for yourself (you know, just to be sure you don't lose)?
- Fill out a bracket with your predictions, then employ Options 1 and 2 to make it so.
- Act like an old grumpy pants and tell your coworkers and friends that you don't care about this delightful tournament... all while availing yourself to some combination of Options 1, 2 and 3?
Voting on the Press Gallery regional will begin tomorrow at 10 a.m., followed by the Open Mic bracket at 4 p.m., and voting for the remaining brackets will open on Tuesday. Check back right here for links.
