Cynthia on KMOX: "Can't we have an intelligent debate?"

Cynthia Davis was on KMOX radio this afternoon to talk about her newfound notoriety as the poster children for ridiculous Republican politicians and hypocritical, cruel public policy. With generous questions from hosts John Hancock and Michael Kelly, Davis avoided discussing the substance of her offending newsletter and response, both of which decry the evils of summer meal programs for low-income kids.

Davis continued to blame "the left" for "taking things out of context" when quoting her newsletter at length.

This quote is a good snapshot of the Cynthia Davis worldview:

I happen to think that growing government bigger and using poverty as an excuse to grow government bigger and further intrude into the family is not the right answer.

I always wondered why every other reasonable human being thinks it's a good idea to help provide healthy meals for children who might otherwise go hungry.  And now we know -- it's all just an excuse to raise taxes!

Davis also discussed the 2010 Auditor's race, for which she is already raising money:

All I know is I bought myself some cowboy boots and I'm learning how to say "Missourah!"
